Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has stated on Instagram that he is ‘too happy’ for Gabriel Jesus after he returned from injury during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday.
Arsenal’s summer signing has been out of action since the 2022 World Cup, in which Vinicius Jr was a part of, but he returned from the bench at Craven Cottage.
At the time of Jesus’ injury, many fans started to panic because they felt that such a key figure’s absence, in an important role, was going to seriously hurt them in their Premier League title push.
But the likes of Eddie Nketiah, and most recently, January signing Leandro Trossard, have stepped up and filled that void.
As a result, they are still five points clear of second-placed Manchester City in the race for the title, who they will meet at the Etihad next month.
Nonetheless, Jesus expressed his delight on IG regarding his return to action, with many of his teammates, including Vinicius Jr, lauding him in the comments section.
PERFECT TIMING FOR JESUS
Arsenal’s bench looks pretty healthy now and it’s looking strong at such a crucial period of the season.
It will be interesting to see how Mikel Arteta manages Jesus during these next few weeks because the £45 million star (Sky Sports) has the Europa League also to get minutes under his tank.
Either way, given the manner of Arsenal’s win, it allows Arteta to further ease Jesus into action and put him in the starting XI when he is absolutely ready.
